We made our annual trek to Washington, PA just after the 4th of July. It was a wonderful week full of family and lots of cousin love.
The kids and I especially enjoyed the Whiskey Rebellion since this has been our summer of early-American History. It was great to see some of the history we've been learning about from the musical Hamilton in action. It was pretty clear that we were the only Hamilton fans in town due to his whisky tax that was imposed in 1794.
The neighbors Maggie and Becket were a constant presence during our visit and the kids really enjoyed their company. Adelina and Maggie have since become pen pals.
Of course we had to take a trip to the Strip and eat at Primanti's...
...and take Randy to Canton Ave.
Learning to play chess
We got to babysit Mo one evening while Matt, Beth and Oliver went to a Pirates game. It was so fun for us!
Celebrating Mo's first birthday a few days early.
