Early Summer Fun

The summer is flying by...a little too fast for my liking. We've had wonderful weather and lots of time  enjoying the outdoors.

The first full day out of school was perfect for the beach!
Adelina has had her nose in a book for a lot of the summer...even while walking!
This year has seen a lot of growth from Caleb...he's now big enough for a half size cello!
Audrey and Adelina enjoying the Melrose Farm Tour.
Levi's been enjoying rocking a "mohawk".
Inspired by a half-day camp that Caleb attended, the kids worked together to build this great looking fort.

The kids had a blast putting on a lemonade stand with Varun and Vishant next door. Varun and Vishant specialize in the sales pitch, while Caleb provided a little music....and Levi and Lina danced. The funniest part of the day was when a guy driving a Maserati gave the kids $8 for a cup of lemonade.

And the chicks are getting Huge!!

Last Day of School

On the last day of school, we got to attend the annual Hundred Mile Club celebration in the morning. Both Caleb and Adelina were recognized for running the most miles in the school. We are so proud of their efforts!

I had to work, so I sadly missed the kids coming out of school. Thankfully Grandpa was there to record the moment.

Recital Weekend

Father's day weekend was once again filled with recitals. Caleb performed on Saturday and was joined by Adelina on Sunday. After all the hard work they put into their pieces, it was so gratifying for them to perform well!

Rockland Graduation

It's so hard to believe that Levi is now a pre-K graduate and that our days at the Rockland are over. Our children benefitted so much from their days at the school and I know we'll all miss the school...but I'm very glad I don't have to sit through anymore of the graduations and holiday pageants!

My favorite part of the graduation is when all the songs are over and we get to go inside and hear what the teacher has to say about the students in their class. Levi got the "Future Naturalist" Award because he is always talking about nature. Very cool!

Tree Down

We had some windy days during the month of June. The wind caused us to lose one tree, which happened to fall down near Caleb. It was a scary experience, but thankfully all was okay.

Jimmy Fund Scooperbowl

The kids and I had a great time at the Scooperbowl this year. Per usual, we ate tons of ice cream and tried lots of different flavors.

Caleb's New Room

The kids all finally have their own rooms! We transitioned the third floor guest room into Caleb's own room after adding heat, some shelving, and new furniture. He's really enjoying his time up there and Adelina is anxiously awaiting her room's makeover some time during the Fall.

Our Last Duck Walk

On June 1st, Levi took part in his last Rockland Montessori Duck Walk. I met him at his school and walked with his class to a nearby pond. Every year there is a bunch of junk food, lemonade, popsicles, and loaves of white bread for feeding the ducks. The kids run around wearing their duck hats and have a great time until they inevitably lose their ballon. Here is Levi with his beloved Mrs. Wishoski, the director of the school.

Hallmark Health Stride for Health 5K

Caleb and I ran the Hallmark Health Stride for Health 5K on June 4, 2016. It was a pretty small field, but I had great incentive to run fast as I was trying to keep up with Caleb. Caleb and I finished in the top 10-12 places and we both finished first in our age group. First time I've earned a first place in a long time! My finishing time was a 22:26...7:14 pace overall!
